This memorial is absolutely beautiful! It is rustic, elegant and breath-taking.

Black granite is a wonderful granite color to work with because it has a very fine grain that results in a solid color with a lot of wonderful contrast. This allows us to choose from several carving techniques that don’t necessarily work well on other granite colors. The technique used along the edges of the memorial is called “shell rocking” and it results in what we call a “shell rocked border”.
