If you look at the top left-hand side of Miss Tracy’s memorial, and at the top right-hand side of Mr. John’s, you will notice a polished tapered, bevel edge that extends from the top and all the way down to the bottom. This detail adds depth and dimension to the memorial. 

You will also notice that the couple’s wedding date is engraved on the polished margin of the base. Engraving information on the margin is a great way to utilize space to communicate shared information.
