This gorgeous, heart-shaped memorial, is absolutely beautiful! Perhaps the thing we notice most about this monument is the beautiful decor that Melissa’s parents always place in her honor. Isn’t the arrangement in this photo so youthful and pretty?

The first thing you might notice about this monument is that the heart shape features a black granite insert. The black granite contrasts beautifully against the gray granite and creates texture and interest. The family chose to use the natural contrast in the black granite for Melissa’s inscription, which will always look just as beautiful as it does in this photo. A photo of sweet Melissa is featured in the top left lobe of the heart, which stands out nicely against the black.

This memorial is made of four pieces of granite- the tablet, the black granite insert in the tablet, the base and a flower pot. The family chose to additionally place Melissa’s memorial on a preformed concrete pad.
