When Ms. Cox came in to initially discuss her memorial ideas, she told us that her husband had dedicated his life to the ministry and was a beloved minister at Cross Church. She wanted her memorial to reflect his passion for sharing Christ and also his love for his church home. 

In the morning and in the evening, when the sun rises and sets just right, long cross-shaped shadows are cast upon the surrounding ground. The shadows bend as the sun moves, casting their symbolic message all around- perfect for a minister. 

This memorial is made of five pieces of solid black granite- two tablets (top), one base (bottom) and two flower pots
